Toronto is a renowned city of Canada, it is the capital of Ontario, a province of Canada. It shares its borders with Michigan State and New York. It has Lake Ontario along its length in Southwest. Toronto is known to be the highest populated area of Canada. It is reported to be 2.93 million (2017).  People of Toronto enjoy all four seasons throughout the year. In winters, the temperature goes below 0 to -10°C, and rises up to 30°C in summers. Toronto has two official languages: French and English. 

The best way to travel to Toronto is by air. There are multiple flights, one of the most popular is Air Canada, that take you to the Toronto Pearson International Airport which is the main central airport of Toronto. If you want to travel within the city, for instance, those who want to go to Downtown can directly land to Billy Bishop Airport as it is closer to Downtown using Porter Airlines and many others.

CN Tower is a famous tower located in Downtown, Toronto. It was built by a railway company and completed in 1976. It was built on the former railway lands and originally named after that company but later it got named as Canadian National. It is used for communication and observations. This tower is 553.3 meters high and it has 147 floors. There are high speed elevators to travel within these floors that take you up to the top with the speed of 22km/hr in 58 seconds. People register for the adventurous Edge Walk around the CN tower. (will write a separate article for that)

There are many communities settled in Toronto but there is a large number of Chinese communities living in Toronto. Falun Dafa Parade is an event in which Chinese participate actively. In this parade a large number of people march through the Downtown followed by musical and dance performances in the Nathan Phillips Square. Falan Dafa, also known as Falun Gong is a religious and spiritual practice of Chinese. It combines meditation and qigong exercises with a moral philosophy based on the grounds of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.

Vaisakhi also known as Baisakhi, is another popular event celebrated on 13th or 14th of April every year in Toronto. It is a historical and religious festival in Hindu and Sikh communities. It is celebrated in commemoration of the formation of the warriors known as Khalsa panth under Guru Gobind Singh in 1699. Vancouver Police also participates actively in it along with their families.

High Park is a municipal park in Toronto that covers 400 acres land. It has been opened for public. It consists of a lot of maple and Oak trees. Maple leaf is the one you see on the flag of Canada with 9 edges. In 1959, High Park received 2000 cherry trees as a gift from Tokyo and in the later years: 2001, 2006 and 2019 High park received more cherry trees as a gift from Japan. Cultural activities like Morris Dance also take place at High park. High Park also contains a Zoo known as High Park Zoo for children. 

CASA LOMA is a famous mansion in midtown, Toronto that is built in Gothic Revival style in 1911 to 1914 as a residence for financier – Sir Henry Pellatt. Now it has been converted to a historic house museum. It is designed by E. J. Lennox, he has designed other city landmarks as well. It has great interior and is now open for the public to see and admire its mesmerizing beauty.
